JSS Medial College To Start New Courses

JSS Medial College will start B.Sc courses in OT Technology, Dialysis and X-ray this year. There is also a proposal to start M.Sc pre-paraclinical courses and Ph.D in paraclinical course.

This was disclosed by former MLA H. Gangadharan at a media conference at Rajendra Bhavan yesterday.

At the JSS Pharmacy College in Ooty, two new pharma courses of 2 years duration would be started from this year — Phyto-pharmacology and Drug Discovery. PUC passed students would be offered pharma- D course, which will be of six years duration. Those who have got B. Pharma degree can join this Pharma-D Course, which will be of three years duration to them, and this course would be started from the current year 2008-09.

JSS Nursing College in Mysore has been recognised by the RGUHS as a research centre. The aspiring students can register their names for Ph.D course in Medical Surgery, Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing, he added.
