The registrar of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore promised to expedite the retotaling results of MPT students of 2014 may exam, however its been November 3rd and they have done nothing. It seems the university doesn't care about students enrolled in physiotherapy program. Everybody knows that physiotherapy is a new subject and although there is massive increase in students pursuing the degree, it has been neglected by the government and the medical people in terms of autonomous practice, employment and council formation. I extremely feel that the repercussions can be seen in MPT results of May 2014 exam. When a group of students visited the university to clear their doubts about failure of 85% students of Karnataka, they had been told that some papers were filled with symbols that reveal its source and hence all the papers were sent to a University of another state. But I really don't understand why the concerned people lacked guts to punish the colleges or the people who were involved in such malpractice and instead send the papers to an alien university. One can understand that the university doesnot want to flex its muscles with the malpracticing colleges but it is so ironic that they are ready to jeopardize the fate of more than 1000 MPT students of Karnataka. The number of MPT students are few and the course is far less expensive when compared to other postgraduate medical subjects. These might be some reasons why the University is neglecting Physiotherapy students. However there are few students who have studied hard and deserve justice. Com'on 85% of MPT students of karnataka aren't that foolish who can't survive the university exam. And about paper evaluation by third party (i will say), i dont have a drop of idea how they evaluated our papers. Pardon my statement but either the professors of alien university are so unprofessional or they merely intend to fail all the papers. I really wonder had it been the exam of MBBS or MD/MS, the university will think a couple of times to perform such silly and inappropriate action. And we, MPT students don't have any alternative to remain silent and prepare for the chance exam. I feel I am paying the money twice for the same journey..
