Nursing Institutes Violated KNC, RGUHS Notification

Nursing institutes in Karnataka are violating notifications issued by Karnataka State Nursing Council (KNC) and Rajiv Gandhi University for Health Sciences (RGUHS), regarding websites.

The KNC had issued a notification on June 7, 2007, stating that all nursing schools in the State should compulsorily have their own websites with details of the institute’s infrastructure, bio-data of the teaching faculty, details of recognition, fees and admission procedure, audit-account statement of each academic year and other information.

The notification also states that if any institute fails to do so, KNC would derecognise it. Even after one year of issuing the notification and subsequent warnings, many schools do not have their own websites.
