CBI Filed Chargesheet Against Former Vice - Chancellor of RGUHS

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a chargesheet before the 12th Additional City Civil and Sessions Court against former vice-chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) P S Prabhakaran and 19 others for their involvement in the leakage of question papers of PGET-2006.

The CBI has also written to the Medical Council of India (MCI) to take action against Prabhakaran and other doctors.

A criminal case was filed on May 4, 2007, against Prabhakaran and 29 others relating to irregularities in conducting PGET-2006. The issue, which was simmering earlier, came to light after a complaint was filed by the principal secretary of the state home department.

It was alleged that P S Prabhakaran and 5 other officials of RGUHS had fraudulently given access to Nitish R Desai and 15-other students to the question papers, which enhanced the performance of Nitish R Desai and others.
