Mangalore: 'Medicine 2008' at Father Muller Medical College on September 20, 21

Dr S Ramanand Shetty, vice-chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore will inaugurate the programme at 9 am at the Academy Hall of the college. District in-charge minister J Krishna Palemar will be the chief guest. Fr Stany Tauro, administrator of FMMCH will preside over the function.
Fr Denis D'Sa, administrator, FMMC informed the media here on Thursday September 18, that the programme is aimed at imparting the latest in medical knowledge to postgraduates and medical faculty of Karnataka and neighbouring states. There will be a mock examination for the post-graduate medicine students, with an opportunity to interact with experienced post graduate examiners.
He said that the programme of this magnitude will be the first of its kind in South India. Medical science is advancing at a very rapid pace and these kinds of CME programmes are very essential for the concerned to update themselves with the latest technology and information.
Dr Manjunath B V, Dr R Suresh, Dr H B Suresh, Dr N C Shetty, Dr Devadas Acharya, Dr Ganesh, Dr CN Manjunath, Dr Yash Lokhandawala and Dr Krishna Kumar will speak on the occasion, he said.
Dr H Prabhakar, Dr Suresh Rao and Dr Roshan were present at the press conference.
